Healing Trauma and Addictions

Evolve Beyond Survival

Trauma leaves marks that aren’t always visible but are deeply felt.

It can make everyday life feel like a struggle with:

  - Memories popping up unexpectedly,

  - Emotions that feel out of control,

  - A constant sense of unease in your body.

You might feel stuck in the past, disconnected from the present, and uncertain about the future.

Trauma isn’t just “in your head”—it lives in your body, affecting:

  - How you see yourself,

  - How you connect with others,

  - Your ability to feel safe and trust again.

- Initiates unhealthy coping strategies. (Addictions)

How I Can Help

Healing trauma is a journey of reconnecting with your body, mind, and emotions in a way that brings relief, peace, and resilience. Trauma often leaves an imprint not just in our memories but also within the body—through physical tension, emotional triggers, and persistent feelings of unease. These responses are part of the body’s natural reaction to protect us but can become overwhelming and disrupt daily life when trauma remains unresolved.

In the healing process, we work on releasing the "fight-or-flight" responses and transforming the emotional pain that keeps you feeling on edge. This often involves techniques that help calm the nervous system, ground you in the present, and gently reprocess painful memories, making them feel less charged and intrusive.

Healing modalities like Somatic EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy integrate the mind and body to address trauma at its core. We also use EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to tap into the body’s energy systems, helping release trapped emotions and restore a sense of balance. Each method provides a safe, effective path to release past hurt and regain control over your responses, making it possible to feel stronger, more connected, and at ease in your life.

Healing trauma is about finding peace with the past and building a future in which one feels empowered, whole, and resilient.

Healing can sometimes bring up sadness—what I call “the grief of relief”—a natural part of letting go of old pain. I’ll be here with you every step of the way, guiding you toward a more peaceful, balanced life.
